What Is the NOSSCR Referral Service?

The NOSSCR Referral Service is authorized by statute and was created to meet SSA's requirement to provide referral options to claimants who receive unfavorable decisions. For more than three decades, NOSSCR has connected disability claimants with experienced representatives through this program, and SSA offices regularly share the Referral Service phone number with unrepresented claimants who need help.

We do not participate in commercial “lead generation.” Instead, NOSSCR operates a mission-driven referral service that prioritizes increasing representation for claimants while sustaining NOSSCR's advocacy, education, and member support work.
